Safety Week

Our annual safety week, run across every outlet and through the haulage fleet. Operations continue, but for one week the safety system itself is the thing under examination — not the paperwork, the practice.

What the week covered

• Toolbox talks at every location, led by supervisors rather than delivered to them
• Fire drills and extinguisher practice at outlets and the loading area
• Equipment inspection — extinguishers, spill kits, PPE and first-aid provision checked and replenished
• Truck inspections — calibration certificates, tyres, lighting and emergency equipment
• Incident review — every incident and near miss from the year, discussed with the crews involved rather than about them

What came out of it

• Refreshed spill kits and PPE across all locations
• Updated pre-trip checklists based on what drivers said was missing
• Actions logged against owners and review dates

Safety week runs annually. Customers who want to understand how we operate before putting us on site are welcome to attend the next one.
